Hi Everyone,
I have an amp from ClassDAudio.com (ClassDAudio CDA-254 Class D Surround Amplifier) that I like very much, but it has a small problem. On an intermittent basis, there is a "clicking" sound that comes through the house mains and out of the speakers. It sounds like at 60-120HZ or so sound that only lasts for a few seconds and shows up every 1-2 hours. I know it comes through the power grid, because if I am outside by the utility box in my front lawn, I can sometimes hear the same sound coming from the utility box (transformer).
How can I filter out this annoyance? Can I insert an inductor and another set of caps into the power supply for greater filtering? This is driving me crazy and I can't seem to get rid of it.
Thanks for any help!
Eric
