I have a two of these woofers that I want to pair with a set of Fane compression drivers in a vented enclosure. I came up with the following plot using ISD online. Unfortunately the online version does not plot excursion. I use a mac so downloading the full version WinISD is not an option at the moment. Can someone tell me if this design would exceed xmax when driven with 320 watts (QSC PLX1802)?

Hi Keylight93.
I've been using that woofer a lot this past couple months. My work is posted on another forum though. I'd say that's to big of a box for that woofer. Especially with that much power. I used 30L tuned to 52hz. Here's a pic:

I have some ground plane measurements of the lower modules as well, but I don't have them on this computer. They basically have a much slower extended response than that of your ISD plot. Let me know if you'd like more info on this woofer. Here's the frequency response and impedance I got.

That's an interesting setup. I was actually thinking about doing something similar, but using the Lab 12 on the bottom since it seems more suited to lower bass compared to the celestion that seems to do better in the mid bass. Make it a 3 way tower.
Tux,
How did you make that slick looking seamless waveguide? Suspended weight shaped fiberglass cloth?

WinISD Pro alpha plots it exceeding Xmax in a reflex > 19.7 L/78 Hz Fb/2pi, so can be a bit larger, lower tuned if hard up against a wall.

Ya the Celestion isn't a bass monster. It does ok for full range music but has it's limits. Bandwidth limits, not SPL. So I have 6x12" sealed subs below 80hz. That gives me the bandwidth I need for movies. Music I'm pretty satisfied, but use the subs anyways for those times the bass does go quite low.

It's a SEOS 12 that I sanded and bondo'd into the baffle. Then spray painted. I need to do a little more finishing work.
