Hello to everyone!
This is my first post here, hopefuly not the last... 🙂 So i am asking you to please help me with something.
I intend to buy some CCFL neon lights (12V, http://www.sharkoon.com/all_eng.htm, first stuff) and to put it im my trunk because i dont have any light back there and i need some.
Since i was always a bit enthusiastic, i want those lights to operate in two different ways- always on & sound controled (attached to subwoofer).
I have an idea how it might work, but the realisation is problem (from idea to actual circuit and choice of elements). Well, here is my idea, if anything is incorrect please correct me. 🙂
The audio output of an audio amplifier (or the input of subwoofer) is connected to operation amplifier that works as a comparator (with refferent voltage of about 1V, but changeable via potentiometer) so that on output of comparator i have a square voltage. This voltage drives an optocupler (for galvanic segregation). The thransystor (output of optocoupler) acts as a switch that turns on or off the output circuit that consists of an 12V and a light.
That's it, if anyone has a better idea or an idea how to actually realize this, i would appreciate it...
THANKS!!!
