No experience. Have thot about it.
Helper tweeter up high is one way, it suffers from potential issues with the necessary large spacing (ie head in a vise). As long as the tweeter is sufficiently sensitive it could work. You might want something that has a limited dispersion to better match the A12pw that high.
When i first saw your thread title, DECCA London inmmendiatly popped into my head. Would allow XO down to as low as 1kHz.

Not much help regarding the tweeter but I've thought about going the other way. Use a 12PW with a Alpair 10p:
1. takes the bass load off of the 10p,
2. pushes the x-over point down low to cater to the necessary c-2-c spacing,
3. very flat responses for extended frequencies for a low-order x-over.
4. same manufacturer, same materials, similar voicing.

I have thot of that combo as well. Would make for a system that would make for no excuses in terms of dynamics and level. A very good match in terms of voicing.
A12pw is very versatile and has been underappreciated.

Thanks for the inspiration, dave.
I've been checking Madisound's inventory for them here and there with no luck.
After finding out the original SB woofers weren't available for Curt Campbell's Halcyons, I've been hankering to revisit the design and do my own take on it.

Is the kit no longer available? It's still listed on their webpage.I've been checking Madisound's inventory for them here and there with no luck.

Curt Campbell's Halcyon is in stock. The kit Madisound offers uses a newer version of the SB woofers than what Curt designed with. Sensitivity is 2dB lower than the original.
The Markaudio 12PW hasn't been in stock.

One of Scott’s Horns for A12pw. First he tried a foward facing horn, and then an upfiring dome. Not sure where he ended up. Pics somewhere.

I'd consider using the 12PW for bass and a smaller full range (with better dispersion) for the top.
Exactly. Have you checked out the Boenicke W11 and W13?Not much help regarding the tweeter but I've thought about going the other way. Use a 12PW with a Alpair 10p:
Scroll down to page 4 here. Maybe it'll help. Think of the 12PW as the "6-inch bass-midrange driver" in that system. Thanks for the inspiration, dave.

Could you perhaps share this design here? Now tested MAOP7 with ribbon and it sound amazing,
Which ribbon? What was the crossover?
Thanks
Low pass filter around 5kHz first order and cap on Ribbon, Raven 2Could you perhaps share this design here?

I remember the Raven 2. Zalytron (based in Brooklyn, NY) used to sell them. I think there was a company called Orca. I think they are long discontinued.Low pass filter around 5kHz first order and cap on Ribbon, Raven 2
Hmm... I considered the MAOP 7 with a Fountek NeoCd1.0 (see link below).
https://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/ribbon-tweeters/fountek-neocd1.0-1.5-ribbon-tweeter/
The off-axis response of the MAOP 7 should be (not sure) similar to the off-axis response of the Alpair 7MS. See page 4 in the link below.
https://www.markaudio.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Alp7_Gen3-grey-info-sheet-Eng.pdf
3 other small full-range off-axis response curves can be found here.

The MAOP looks reasonably good 15 deg. off axis at 10k and, if anything, would only need help beyond 10k. However, crossing a tweeter at 10k (especially at 6db/oct) might make little sense as any gain in extended off-axis response might be negated by polar interference with two drivers (the MAOP 7 and the ribbon) producing the same frequencies from 5k to 20k (at least one octave on either side of the crossover point).
Did you face any issues with polar interference?
Since you are considering the 10p, maybe you have seen this?Use a 12PW with a Alpair 10p:

Boenicke W11 and W13?
Good idea, but i am not impressed. I am not a big fan of translam. A huge waste of material.
The world of WAW is largely unexplored. There is a hige space of suitable midTweeters and midBasses that are well suited to XOs 200-500 Hz.
