I remember watching a video where three speakers were chosen for a specific room, and recorded.
The ported one had booming bass, and the open baffle was clean. I think there was a third speaker, don’t remember if it was sealed or TL.
anyone remembers that video? I’m trying to locate it, but I’ve been spending time and Google is not helping!

Sounds like a result considered before they were adapted to the room, so be cautious of any conclusions you'd draw.
True.
In these days, everybody is trying to make their point across.
I did find that in my room, TL and OB were easier with placement in the room regarding booming bass, as ported was much more sensitive to placement.

That may be the first impression. I also find ported can be more of a challenge to blend.
The other side of the coin is being able to bring the bass right back up where it should be, and filling the dips without bringing the boom back. Regardless of the box you use this is likely to be a challenge.

Bass is always a challenge. In any room. Most of us do not have the luxury of treating a room perfectly due to life concerns. It's always a battle, but we do the best we can. 🙂
Still would love to find that video listening to 3 different kinds of speakers at the same placement in the room... just for fun! 🙂
