Hello all members, I'm a newbie from Vietnam 😀
I need some help to choose what speaker I should use.
Here are my favourite musics:
- Classical/Non-lyrics/New Age
- EDM (include Theremin 😀)
- Rock/Nu metal
- Probably some programs in radio 😀
My amp is the lastest version of Rod Elliott P3A.
Here are all what I can buy:
- Radiotehnika S30, S30A, S30B, S50B, S70, S90...
- Vega 10AC-225, 10AC-401, 15AC-109, 15AC-220, 75AC-065...
I need some help to know which speaker is suit for my musics, and also tell me will it suit for my amp or not.
Thanks all! 🙂

The Russians have some nice compression drivers, if you have access to them, that could make for an exciting system. You'd need a horn (you can learn how to build one here), and a bass section... Malaysia actually manufacturers a lot of drivers, you might be able to buy some from there??

There are several folks from Russia and surrounding areas on this forum who may be familiar with those products that you mentioned. I don't know those products.

From the list I have S-30B (10AS-222) and Vega 15AS-109, nearly same size but very different sound, S-30B being much duller due to weak tweeter (and it is 2nd class not 1st).

You would want to look at things that have 0 as first number in the model, those are the highest end stuff. 1 is also acceptable but 2 and 3 are getting terrible.

If you can get some Amfiton 50AS-022 / 100AS-022 :

Thanks for reply. In my country, buy old Russians stuff are much more cheaper and easier than other ones 😀

Probably you can find there Beag or Eleactroaccoustics speakers made in Hungary. Some of them comparable with top line of Altecs. You can try to find them in old theaters or studios. Very, very nice speakers for the same price or a little bit more then Soviet speakers that obviously just a junk.
