The frequency analysis of "The Long Ships" from Watermark (2009 Remaster) by Enya produced the following results. The main low-frequency peak is at 31.9Hz, while there is a much smaller peak at 27.5Hz. This version doesn't seem to have very much low-frequency content below that frequency. I couldn't find the original album on any of my streaming services, so it must be the good one!
Below are the results from what I believe to be the 1988 version of the same track. The 27.5Hz content seems to be higher in level than that from the 2009 Remaster. Why did they see fit to adjust (wreck) the original in this manner during the "remastering" process?
