Several power supplies LP500/30

Any-one out there wanting to repair LP500/30 power supplies. Have several types, wondering if repairs are economical. :smash:

If it's broke, fix it. If it's old, love it. If it jams, force it and, if it breaks, ah shucks, it needed repairing any-way.
God Bless.

Infocus ls110

I have an Infocus Screenplay 110 aka ls110, the power light just flashes (no fans or other noise) when I try to fire up the projector. The power board is labled Magnetek model #3A49-04-000. The Magnetek sticker also shows the number 510-1718-32. Also on the board is what appears to be an Infocus part # sticker that has an Infocus part # 510-1718-34 over the number MS321017089. Can someone out there help me get this projector working again. Tim

LP530 won't work

I also have an LP530, when I plug it in, the green LED comes on solid, when I push the power button, the green LED blinks. No sound, no light.

Anyone have a guide to debugging these things? It seems like it could be the power supply.

Thanks,
Mark

Internal fuse on LP530 power supply blew - no lights

Mbates - Thanks for being here. The main fuse by the power cord is fine on my LP530. There is an internal fuse on the pcb, labeled F1 there, that has blown. It is a 2.5A BUSS PCC 250V. I replaced it with a fast-acting 2.5A 125V fuse I had, but it blew. Thought I'd ask your help before doing anything else. It is a MagneTek 3A49-04-000. There is nothing on the pcb that appears or smells burnt. There is no light displayed when I plug it in. Any suggestions? All are appreciat
ed.

lamps

Does anyone know if a SP-LAMP-002A and a SP-LAMP-LP5F are really the same? The 002A fits an Infocus LS110 and the LP5F fits an Infocus LP530. The two projectors appear to share power boards and cases. They do have different projection specs as the LS110 is more for home theater and the LP530 is more for computer presentations, but the bulb in both lamps is marked SHP22. I am looking for a source for cheap SHP22s. Any information would be appreciated. Tim

Repairing a LP530

Hi mbates14,

I have a LP530 with a failed supply. Looking over the board, it appears that C13 a 100UF 25v Capacitor is blown, and that U4 (ET1102 / 116UTK27) is also blown.

After reading over your post, you mention something about fixing failed supplies...

What is a good replacement part for the ET1102? Newark indicates that 04M9015 as a possible replacement? Any suggestions?

Fixing the power supply won't help me for an SP-LAMP-LP5F lamp if the power supply is not upgraded? How can you tell the difference between a normal and upgraded power supply? (I don't want to do the repair and see it blow again)

A further post indicates adjusting the PWR ADJ by one 8th of a turn? What's the direction? What should I meter and what power level am I looking for?

Or, is anyone selling a LP530 with a working upgraded power supply?
Your help and feedback would be much appreciated.

Cheers
