ive got that part boss 🙂
were it says + - to the plug, does it matter which way round i put them in my plug
Bare in mind i have a UK 3 pin plug
so
Ground, Live, Neutral.
I know ground is connected to case and ballast 😛

Thanks for that mate 🙂
hooked neutral to negative & live to +ve
covered all exposed wires thouroghly in duck tape, flicked the switch, light flickered few times and light came on fairly dim and eventually went pretty bright.
ive placed all items in a old skool pj, and was wondering if its all to crowded? and will anything melt or out inside? ive supplied a pic (i know the wiring is bad, but will neaten that up later)
is everything ok , or something gonna get to hot and possibly burn/melt-down
cheers

you'll be fine as long as long as there cooling. i think the ballast gets hot ans stays hot longer than the bulb. so make sure the ballast is cooled as well
alright no probs 🙂
will have to get summat together for fans 🙂
i ve put the machine on for around 2 minutes, and im sure i get a smell of burning or melting, its not really bad, but u can scent it, is this normal due to a new bulb, ballast etc?
also have some piccies after a minute or so of warming up, and neatend the wiring inside 🙂

your crazy stop using that ohp...you NEED to put some form of metal under the lamp you WILL burn wood!!!! thanx for listening
Good retro of an OHP and the light seems bright on the wall for ambient room lighting. How is the heat on the fresnels? Lay a thermometer on the stage for an hour and see what temp your stage is.
