i want to convert my 3way kenwood crossover 100watts to 500 watts because my sub can handle 400watts...do i need to change capacitor???or watts sorry i'm a noob😛
A circuit diagram would be useful.
If its higher power in then capacitors might need to be a higher voltage.
You might have to rewind inductors with heavier gauge wire.

Those are rather lightweight XO's I would consider starting from scratch either passive or better, active perhaps even a fixed PLLXO. (passive line level crossover)

#3. If you want a high frequency cut off of 30 hz, then you best go line level as the cost of the materials will be too much with caps and coils at speaker level. This is a lot lower than most persons choose. What are the specs of your driver?
aw im realy noob at this... here's the spec sir power handling 400watts impedance 4 Ohms sensitivity 90db @ 1w 1m freq. res. 30hz -5 khz...

Ok, this makes more sense. You don't want to cut this off at 30 hertz, more likely around 100. You know I think since you already have another amplifier that you need something like this:

If you are not familiar with the inside of an amplifier then a PLLXO might be out of the question so now we need to find you a parts store that sell big caps and coils. Too bad, this is going to get expensive. Do you have any other info on the speakers? What make and model are they? We need some more specs.

This is about as affordable as we can make it for you. If you have one woofer you'll need one of these run in series
Erse Super Q 13mH 16 AWG 500W Inductor
and three of these run in parallel, shunting the woofer

No those caps are not usable.
The woofer you have is a DVC that means you will need 2 coils and 6 caps. You also have to make sure your amp is happy with 4 ohms. Is this a separate amp from the main speakers or are you try to use the B speaker switch?

Cal Weldon.. its a separate amp from the speaker....what is a b speaker switch? what caps do i need and coils? not in car.....
