I have a damaged connector on my audio cables to connect my amp to my head unit. Can I replace it with a connector from audio cables used to connect cable boxes?
Wouldn't you be using stereo RCA connectors like those used to connect most domestic audio and video? Just one thing, there may be an extra sense wire used to tell the amp to "wake up" when it's needed.
Basically, I am thinking that all Audio In/Out wires are the same. That extra wire you are referring to "wake up" the amp, are you referring to the remote wire?

As in the RCA patch cable between the amp and head unit?
And you want to use an RCA cable sold as an A/V cable instead?
If that's the case, it'll be fine.
