Hi , all , I need replacment part for somthing I carelessly burnt during upgrading , it is a surfaced mounted Zender diode , I can see it reads KY5 U9 , I do not know if it is 9U or U9 as it is lying vertically while KY5 is horizontally ,
Can someone direct me to a source of supply or any replacment , I understand it is a simple diode only with one in & one out , the 3rd leg being for mounting only . Size is not a problem , just working the same is OK for my board , is U9 means 9v ?
Thank all for asistance .

Don't try to finish any upgrading if you are tired , always remind myself but again & again .

Thanks , Moon Track & davidsrsb , I feel much better now upon receiving these informations , can someone direct me where to get supply of 10 pcs. of this Zender Diode ? Am I save if I replace it with ordinary size Zender diode 16v that I can easily obtained from local market , is mA (5mA) that important , any difference if I replace it with bigger mA ?
Thanks all for valued support .

It is rated at a lot more than 5mA, but the voltage calibration is at 5mA. If you use a high power part, the voltage in your circuit will be a bit low
I suppose your device don’t need in very precise voltage because of they are not ultra precise zeners. Any big store carries them, being in Europe I use Farnell, Distrelect and Elfa. Can’t say what would be best option for your location.
