Hi, I've been looking for a Waveguide tweeter after I purchased a pair of MW16P-8, it seems like SB26STAC can be fitted into a Waveguide faceplate if it has a removable faceplate. Have anyone tried to remove the faceplate of this very tweeter?
No they dont...just checked 🙂.

But why do you want to pu them into a WG anyway? With the MW16P-8 you can easily above 2khz.
In fact i crossed my 26STAC about right 2khz with the 13PFC...so no need for a WG for this one 🙂

Thank you for your reply. The link you attached can not be accessed, so I don't know what's in it. What would happen if I remove four screws on its faceplate? Will the dome comes off?
Because I have already purchased cabinets designed for a waveguide tweeter, and I don't like that tweeter. Because of its giant diameter, I can not find replacements to fill up that hole. Since the hole has already been cut on the baffle, I decided to replace the dome and the magnet of this tweeter and keep its waveguide faceplate so that I don't need to buy new cabinets.

The photo shows that the dome and voice coil are glued to the faceplate. It would be a hell of a job to mount the magnet on the waveguide anyway, I think. It probably is easier to fit the complete driver on the waveguide, possibly by adapting the throat of the WG.
The faceplate is removeable from the diaphragm plate. They are just press fit together, sometimes they come apart on their own when you remove the faceplate, other times just remove the whole assembly as see above and use a butter knife to gently pry them apart.
Ah, that's too bad. I'll find another way, thank you.
I just told you the other way: take the faceplate off, if the diaphragm comes with it just slide a butter knife between them and gently pry apart. They are not glued together.
