JBL suggests 40Liters (1.413cu. ft.) for a sealed SQ. enclosure which in WinISD gives about Qtc = 1.01 ..
and for a 60liters (2.119 cu. ft.) sealed , will gives about Qtc
= 0.88 ..
iwanna amix of SQ & SPL , ucan say %70 for SQ.
and intend for a crossovering range from 40Hz min. to 90 max.
with 250 - 300rms of power.
ijust have aheadache deciding which sealed enclosure size is the best ,ican go with 40 or 60l. (placed in a hatchback).
will be a real diff. between the 2 enclosures? or i MUST go with
a bigger one?
the driver parameters is as follows:
JBL GT3-12 12"
RMS Power Handling:225W
Peak Power:1800W
Voice-Coil Diameter:50mm
Mounting Depth:155mm
Qes:0.6
Qms:5.53
Qts:0.54
Vas:100.45 ltr
Fs:28Hz
Pe:225watt rms
Sealed Enclosure (vol):40ltr
Frequency Response:35Hz - 3kHz
Sensitivity:89dB
Impedance:4 Ohms
Vented Enclosure (vol):50ltr
iattached WinISD simulations for both sizes:
40lit. : yellow
60lit. : green
ireally need suggestions in this..
thanks alot guys. 🙂

Considering cabin gain, either enclosure will do, with the larger enclosure producing just a couple more SPL.

Pete
u cant hear the difference between 3db easily.
6db is a decent change
so really i dont think it matters
the graph shows=-1.5db or somthing tiny
dont fret just build and see how it sounds...
the cabin gain may make it boomy lol if so,just make the box bigger.

If space is not an issue build the bigger cabinet.
You could easily make the effective volume smaller by putting some bricks or blocks of wood inside.
You could also add internal damping material to increase the effective volume a little.
