Help me amke final decision between projects
I am just trying to decide which speakers to build and have finally narrowed it down to 2.
Both are 2.5way towers.
first one uses 2 peerless CSX 6.5" woofers and a seas 27TFFC tweeter.
Seconly is one using a seas P17coax with a seas p17rex for the 2nd woofer.
For both of these designs i have XO designs from very generous people.
SO if anyone cold help me to decide that would be great, the seas has a higher price tag as well.
thank you in advance for looking.

My gut instinct would be the CSX/27TFFC, for hi-fi stereo.
But the quality of the crossover design could make or break either.
The co-axial has some advantages as home theatre mains.
🙂 sreten.

Go for CSX/27TFFC, it's easier to upgrade or replace components.
My own design uses Seas 27TFFC and G17RE/P (with fibreglass membrane) and 18dB/18dB @ 2.5 kHz. Sounds great!

I do do alot of HT.. though high quality music is also an important aim.
What are those advantages you speak of by using coax?
Also what do you guys have to say about detail and smoothness of both combinations.
Oh those XOs were designed by people whos projects are very very widely copied and used.
thanks guys

The co-ax off axis consistency (with a good c/o) has advantages
for widely different listening positions that are used more commonly
in HT than music listening.
The coax disadvantages are a less smooth treble response.
Still go for the CSX drivers personally.
