I heard this speaker today in a local recordstore. I remember having read something about it, but I had never heard them.
I have to say I was really impressed. The bass from these speakers was very good for such a small speaker.
Does anyone recognize the drivers?
The mid-bass looks a bit like the peerless CSX 176, appart from the surface that's less smooth on the driver in the speaker. Maybe they painted it with some compound?

They look like a Vifa M18WO woofers or custom version of the same. I've used them with great success in speakers just that size. The tweeter I'm not sure about.

I most definitely think it is a Peerless unit. Could be a custom CSX provided with 6 holes and another coating, or otherwise a custom HDS with new coating as well, and without the chamfered edge!!
Probably not a vifa...their cones seem to be with lesser 'slope'!
The tweeter looks to me like a Audax of some kind. As far as I remember they have some dome-tweeters with the same exposed dome.....

It is a Vifa. The casting is a Vifa to a tee. Around the screw holes you will notice U shaped flat spots that are a Vifa design. It compares cone wise to a M18WO-09 as was said earlier.
