Help me build my first speaker

I am thinking of building myself a pair of speaker using some speaker drivers given to me/and or salvaged over the years. Be it this is my first diy speaker project, I'd like to use what I have in order to keep the cost down. So, this is what I currently have:

2 Audes 15T25-8 _ 1 TWEETERs http://audes.ee/new/frames.htm

2 Audes 20M40-8 _ 1 2/3" MIDRANGE http://audes.ee/new/frames.htm

2 10 inch woofers from Dynaco a-25s, similar to the SEAS 25F-EW (H085)

So basically I am asking what kind of speaker can I build with these drivers, what kind of crossover to make, and what type of cabinet to build.

I'd like for the cabinets to be as simple as possible. I would love to use a premade crossover, but from what I've read they are usually not that good. If you have any suggestions about the crossover, please be as specific as possible, I know very little about how to construct them. Cost is an issue, so the cheaper the better! Any other help/suggestions would be appreciated.

you'll need some software to test the parameters of the speakers. Speaker Workshop is pretty popular and can help with XO,and WinISD (I think) has some files of speakers that will help you with the box. Go to JPO speakerspeakerbuilding linklist for these. good luck

the latest version of winisd alpha 0.7 runs high and low pass filters easily.'

the older versions only calculate the values, while the newer version does the magnitude response also.

speaker workshop is ok

search for subwoofer simulator, that guy f4ier has a site with some crossover info i think.

you probably want 2nd order 12db/octave filters as a general guide.

if u cud use an 8inch instead that perhaps went up to 4khz u cud use it with a tweeter -2way is easier.

perhaps you should buy a partsexpress kit?
there is some kits already with the right parts jsut waiting to be made-no calculations needed and probably sounds ok.
