I came across an old fuzz face style fuzz pedal at a flea market recently and it appears the volume knob on it is going out. I'm reallllllllly green but know enough to identify it and solder another one in there, sort of.
It reads out as being a 10K linear pot, but its a kind of pot i've never seen before. Besides the 3 usual terminals, it has another 3 stacked atop it. I can only assume that its an old school dual gang pot. What is really throwing me for a loop though is that when the knob is turned all the way to the left, its able to be clicked off, almost as if its being bypassed completely. when its turned back on and then turned up all the way though, there is no such 'click' once its reached the end of its throw (like a normal pot). Does anybody know what kind of potentiometer this is called or where I can purchase a similar replacement? Any assistance would be much appreciated. Heres a photo of the pot in question.

Not a dual gang, I think you will find it is a switched potentiometer. The click is the switch, and I would hazard a guess that one of the three pins on the top is switched between the other two.

Exactly. The red part is a switch. These are not as common as they used to be, but many many table radios and record players had a volume control with a switch like that for the main power. To turn the radio off you turned the volume to zero, then a little further till it clicked off.
hey thanks alot folks. managed to find a similar 16mm replacement that seems to be doing the trick just fine now.
