I salvaged some parts and enclosure recently from a Panasonic CRD-4500P Power Supply (originally for satellite descrambler or some such). Inside I found 2 transformers, but there are only part numbers listed on the tag, reading "FP-3MM, ETP66PU183B, 8N15SM" on each.
Is there a simple and safe way to test these or find the datasheets? I'd hate to chuck something I could use later on, but I also realize my technical limitations and wouldn't like to do anything dangerous.

Can't tell unless you have schematics which you would not be posting in the first place.
Anyway the other easy way is if you can identify the primary coil and then just energize
them and measure the secondary.I think there are no high voltage ones? (What am I saying?)But do be careful. Normally the primary has one pair of wires.Or 3 wires if center tap. Assuming it is not designed for international use.Measure what you think are the likely pairs of secondary outputs.
Regards.
