Hi Folks,
Could use some assitance identifying a transformer. I'm a newbie and I'm in the beginning stages of collecting all the parts for a P3a amplifier. On a whim, I picked up the attached transformer from a surplus store. I'm trying to get some specs for it. The part number on it is 080-0010-A. It doesnt indicate any type of manufacturer. Any help would be appreciated. It weighs about 10 pounds, its 5 1/2 inches in diameter and 2 1/2 inches tall.

The VA rating is 500-700 VA. 4.1 kg = 500 VA from Toroid Transformer. The red-black wires are probely the primary (110 V?).
My good deed for the day?
I just picked up one of these at Halted Specialties for $35. Looks like they have maybe a dozen left on the shelf, and later I will ask how many they have left in total.
The only ID is "080-0010-A." 5.75 inch Dia max, 2.75 inch tall max. Single primary, 5 independent center-tapped secondaries.
At 120.0VAC supply (red-brown), each secondary (black-blue-black) is 40.6-0-40.6VAC no load. So nominally an 80VCT transformer, estimated at least 500VA.
I will also start a new thread on this trafo in "Electronics and Parts."

Yes thats definitely a toroidal transformer ! lol....
ro345...
I just saw this toroid and I have in my warehouse it's sister
part number 080-0007B only 1 as a sample
Red and Black are the primarys
and the blue and blacks are 75V
The one I have has 1 primary and 5 outputs
all at 75Volts. I was told these might have been for a
5.1 amp system...
I'm thinking of getting these and add them on my website,
ANY INTEREST

Hi Steve and others,
For maximum exposure, I suggest continuing in the new thread I started about this in "Electronics and Parts" (where this subject really belongs?)
