Ok. So bend the center leg. So it lays flat against the heatsink. Should I put heatsink grease on It or will the grease left behind from the old ones be enough. And is there anything else I should know before trying to fix this?
You will need to remove the old heatsink compound from the insulators and apply new heatsink compound between the transistors and the insulators as well as between the insulator and the heatsink.
I'm having trouble finding the parts. Do you know of an online store? and im looking for IRFZ44 transistors and 47 ohm 1/8 watt resistors right?
Perry, do you have experience with the 1000/1 . No output. When its first turnt on output is very very faint but fades away.
I think most of the amp is working as it should. If those are getting hot, it's likely that the output stage is working.

Some JL amps won't work with a signal source that doesn't have a grounded shield. Either connect the RCA shield to the amp ground or use a normal head unit.
i know its an old post but i just ran into this problem. i cant seem to find the fets, can you maybe help me out here. are they under the upper circut board /
