Hi I have been reading this forum for about a month now and got up the nerve to try and build a opaque projector.Well today when all the parts arrived and i put it up when i try to project an image of the lcd all i get is a project that is a image of a black lcd screen as if it was turned of.I read in old post about transmissive and reflective and to be honest i am confused.I guess what i mean to ask is what do i need to do to make this lcd work with the projector.
Thanks in advance for any help.

how about this
Here are the only two things i can think of .Put a light behind the lcd after removing the backlight or remove the backlight and install a mirror.I am just not sure wich would be better

hey bowman, i got your email. i quit this prjoect a LONG time ago i didnt think it would work and unfortunately im right. I know some ppl who actually tried this and have failed, i got an email from an old buddy who did it and he told me he couldnt get a clear enough image. MAYBE if you increase the light lumens then you can get a respectible image, but you would still need a better LCD. you would need a 7 inch or smaller LCD bcuz the artograph stage sized is limited some of them are lower than 7 inch the higher ones are expensive.another problem is heat, this was my friends SECOND artograph experiment his 1st LCD was fried...
i afraid this is the road less traveled not many ppl even talk about artographs anymore ...the new thing is LCD monitor and custom cases...
whatever u do goodluck 😉
