help: how to hook speakers with computer

Hello,

Can you tell me how do you hook up your DIY speakers through amp to computer's sound card please?

I built a TB fullrange, and a gainclone amp and want to use them as my computer front stereo speakers.

Is it safe to connect through 3.5mm line out with left-right RCA splitter directly into the amp? I heard people said it will fry either the amp or sound card.

3.5 mm jack to left-right RCA should work perfectly...has for me for 4 years...
