Help for the hum

I have a lenco 65 turntablewith sumiko blue point special, but when I put the cartridge on the hum sounds abviously.

Any advise?Thanks

Hi,

Have you tried running a wire from the arm base to your preamp ground post?

Make sure both end conduct electrically.

I have wired a ground to the preamp
when the catridge wasn't put on the record, there was no hum.
But when the cartridge was put on the record, the hum came.
need advise.

Double check your cartridge wire connection. Make sure they are tight and in correct oriantation(match the color of the wire with cartridge). Also check to make sure the wires are not broken off.
