Hy I'm Filippo from Italy.
My poor cd player Luxman DZ 111 from a short time, have a strange problem. The player read very well the TOC.But when I push play...the player can't find the tracks.
I change the laser lens....but same problem:bawling:

Can somebody help me..?

Thanks.

Hi gurashi,
Two things to check. One is that the laser assy travels freely, you have to disconnect the feed drive.

Two, check the feed belt! They slip. Also, the drive has a spring on the end I think. Make sure it is pressing the shaft lightly. You can't have that thing moving back and forth.

Edit: Your old head may be fine.

Thanks for your answer....
I have check what you suggest to me...the feed tray close very well...and yes..the lens is free its movement.
I have also checked if the lens push well the stop swich...and it seems ok.

I forgot to tell before....sometimes...and I don't understand why...the feed try close immediately after it reach the maximum open stroke.
Is like if it open and when fully opened it close immediately.

thank you very much anyway.!!!

Hi gurashi,
I was speaking about the feed motor that moves the laser head back and forth, not the tray.

Your tray is trying to close because the leaf switch contacts are oxidized. Clean the contacts, do not use anything abrasive.

Thank you Chris...!!

Finally i discovered the problem...!!! The problem was that when the lens go in parking position..it remains blocked....because the motor can't move the lens.
So I put a little O-Ring between the lens and the chassis.....and now it work perfeclty...!!!!!!😀
Thank you very much....now I'll go to listen some music..!!!!😎

Thanks you very much again Chris and forgive my bad english...!

Bye..!!

Hi gurashi,
I'm very happy you got it fixed.

If you used a rubber "O" ring, make sure that no oil gets on it. It will deteriorate and become a sticky mess. Your CD player will stop and you will need to clean it up.

I'm happy to help and your English is much better than my Italian! 😀
