I have a one-man one-van PA system of about 450kg, heaviest piece 40kg. As a 60-year old at 6'1" and 220lbs I had no problem until my back went out recently. Afeared of a repeat of level 10 pain, I would be most grateful of any ideas with regard to shifting this lot around in my 1974 VW panel van to keep Prog Rock alive!
Thanks folks.
Thanks folks.

+1. Guessing this is after an extended period of inactivity, and the usual L4-L5 area. You DO NOT want to blow a disc in this region of your back. So regular exercise, lots of stretching and some easy Yoga, and maybe some time at the Gym. And get some ice packs if you don't already have some.

Lots of versions of these around. Get one, it will pay for itself in reduced medical bills.
Of course everything goes on castors.

I'm age 71 and can't lift my 36 kg SP2 speakers on the pole 2 m above floor anymore. Movers want $350 for 2 hour minimum, and no homeless person I see on the street wants $60 cash for heavy lifting. Since the SP2-XT were stolen anyway, new speakers will weigh less. Be ugly too so they will have no flea market resale value.
Neodynium magnet saves about 2 kg each 15" driver. Taking the compression driver & horn out of the cabinet & mounting on its own pole saves about 3 kg. Crossover out of the cabinet saves 1 kg or more. 1.9 cm baltic birch cabinet has got to go. I'm looking at 1/4" NemaCE laminate https://www.mcmaster.com/8491K27 $201 a 36"x48" sheet. Will be lots of bracing.
I'm doing 30 floor touches every other day. I lift hand weights 2.3 kg 4 ways each arm 30 reps. I've started trying to lift a barbell of 34 kg, am up to 8 reps but can't lift my arms out away from my chest yet. Watch pilates tapes or whatever for recovery. At our age what muscles you don't use every other day melt away fast. 20% per year past age 55 UK med service said on a bbcnews.com article some years ago. I don't intend to spend my retirement in a recliner chair. My father did & got a stroke that ruined his memory after 2 years of retirement. I've been off work 14 years and am still moving & mentally sharp.

AliExpress maybe? Maybe there's something like this but with 12V option? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32814296473.html
[ actually perhaps something like that could have the hydraulic ram replaced with an electric linear actuator? ]
