Looking for a 12" sub for a 1.2 cu ft sealed enclosure. Would like to keep it under $100 US. I gave my son my old car which has some old amps and other random equipment in it but no sub and he would like some low end in there. Trying to do this on the cheap so I am using a box I built many years ago and powering with an old Rockford Fosgate 500a2 which if I remember puts out about 500w RMS into a 4 ohm load. Any suggestions on a reasonably priced driver that would work in 1.2 cu ft sealed? The only other issue is that the box is relatively shallow so the driver can be no more than 6" deep (mounting depth) as the enclosure is only 7" deep...unless the driver doesn't have a vented pole piece but most subs I see do. There will be no eq, just crossed over. Thanks for your input.
