Good morning! Hope everyone had a wonderful and joyous Christmas considering the circumstances. I am starting a new ported 2way, drivers will be a Dayton Dc200-8 woofer----29hz to 3,000hz and a Dayton Dc28 F tweeter 1,300 to 20,000 in a 1.2 cu ft box and a 2inX 6.5in long port. The big question is where would you cross these two drivers? And what order xover would you use. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
If you search on PETT, you'll find this combo has already been done a few times and likely find your answer. "Noah's 8's" were the first, but it's been refined since. I'm sure a simple google search will find the info you desire.

I would look for a more suitable woofer - the DC200 isn't flat enough up to where the tweeter needs to be crossed over, and its diameter is too big to avoid beaming. If you insist on using these, crossover at 1500Hz, 2nd order on the woofer and third order reverse polarity for the tweeter, but I'd expect anomalies around 1Khz
If the OP wants an 8" 2-way, and an inexpensive one at that, then I recommend my Zingers kit. It's available through Meniscus, or via the build thread and pick-your-own-BOM.
