dear all
my be loved CD880 suddently stopped working one night, no display and the transport turns non-stop.
After checking, the most possible cause of this malfunction may be due to defected EPROM
Anyone here and give a help in making a copy of this eprom or selling the eprom to me?
THanks,,,
Leo

Hi Leo,
What is the type number?
😕
The eprom is probably ok.I have had the same trouble a few weeks ago.It was just a supply problem.

Hi Elso,
The number of the eprom is p203
And Martijn, which part of power supply causes the problem, the transport??
THanks in advance....

Leo,
It was a bit weird,so it took some time to find it:a ground connection in the supply of the kill circuit was broken. This somehow affected the microprocessor(connected with the first and last pin IIRC)

I will try to recheck the power again...Hope it is the cause
Cross the fingers...
Thanks a lot

Hi Martijn,
You are right. One of the ground wire was broken. In last time, I changed the cap (the middle one on the circuit board). May be the connection between two layers were nearly broken and so the ground was open in someday after changing the cap.
Thanks again and again...
