Hello I was about to buy this DAC for my raspberry. 😉
Assembled Board with Tested DAC 2496 AK4396 CS8416 24bit 192kHz | eBay
The connection must be I2S.
Now the question is... How can I connect the I2S input into this board?
I've read a tutorial but it was writen in Italian.
Also, can you send a few detailed pictures if anyone has made this mod?
Also I've read that some people use rj45 cable, can you post me a picture as well?
Sorry for my bad English BTW.
Thanks in advance.

Why i2s? The DAC has a digital audio spdif receiver. I2s is very sensitive to interference.
Do you know the HifiBerry Digi? I think you get better results with it.

When you look to the picture of the DAC board, you see the two SMD chips. On the right side the receiver, the left one is the AK4396.
Between them you see 4 resistors... that's the I2S bus.
Check also the CS8416 and AK4396 datasheets.
I know nothing about connecting I2S over longer distances, so I can not advice you on connecting boards using I2S.
