I just bought a used Proceed home theater preamp processor AVP with upgrade to AVP2. When I plugged it in, the monitor displayed "Set Line Voltage with a request to key in a five digit code". It also stated "unit code :1234. Setting : USA."
I could not find any code number from the attached instruction manual. I have tested with several numbers including 01234, 12345, 12340, 00000, 10000, but rejected with "incorrect key". Please help. Thanks.

Madrigal had a system whereby the AC mains voltage level and frequency was monitored. The unit won't operate with a different mains supply. This was to prevent "grey market" sales. It sounds like you have run into their protection system. I doubt anybody knows the answer except for the factory. Good luck...
Hello my friend : I already used the PS Audio Power Plant P300 selected to 120VAC 60HZ. The problem still exists. However, my other friend who bought a Proceed cheaper model AVP (believe 1?), had the same problem but when he pressed on both Standby and Power switches simultaneously, the preamp assumed to normal working. But his method could not apply to my AVP upgrade to AVP2 ! Please help.
