After listening my new to me old Grundig cd player with tda1541 chip, I found that that is the kind of sound that "matches" my ears. It is connected to a vintage system (Sansui AU-888 amp, Pioneer CS-E530 speakers and a Lenco 75 record player with a Ortofon AS-212 arm).
I would like to buy or build a dac with that chip to listen the music I have in digital form. Nothing too complicated, with usb, coaxil and toslink iinputs and I would like to try with valve output stage.
Regarding building options I don't know if I have the skills to do it. I could consider a ready build kit or several kits to meet my needs.
Anyone can point me in a good direction?

These come assembled?
It is possible to "merge" these with a valve output stage? Which one?
And I have another problem buying from outside of Europe. The import taxes are a BIG problem. They are too high here in Portugal.
