hey, i am working towards building a passive subwoofer lowpass filter
first of all should i do the rl or rc one, i mean like the cap and resistor or the cap and inductor, which would be the be the most reliable/better to run with minimal power loss,
i am planning to have it as 12db/octave and cutoff at 100hz, can comeone please work the equation out for me cause i am stuck in a rut and cant think at all. also, how will it be wired up, im quite new to this sort of stuff,
Thanks, Dale
and also sorry if i post this in the wrong section just tell me and ill move/delete it as i just signed up to this after always looking through the forums for information,

Dale: You will need all 3: R, L +C. But, before you start, you need the speaker parameters, starting with its nominal impedance and the Thiele-Small parameters. After that it gets complicated.
Often it is easier to go with an active sub. E
