Hi,
Could someone help me, please?
I have idea to build 3 way system consisting of:
- Closed ported woofer with Aurasound NS8-385-4A
- Mid and tweeter to be mounted on woofer as open baffle consisting of Aurasound NS6-8 and Morel MDT-44
Woofer crossed at 280Hz, mid at 3000Hz (passive crossover, first order)
Can this could be done? Any ideas for alternative project with these speakers?
Thanks very, very much for help
Regards

Assuming a baffle width of 30 cm for the OB, you would have the first dipole peak at ~1 kHz. Down to the crossover frequency of 280 Hz that is a difference of a bit less than two octaves - meaning you will have a dipole loss of about 9 dB.
With an efficiency of 90dB at 1 kHz for the NS6, the efficiency of the ported box should be no higher than 80-82 dB at the crossover. Otherwise it will be difficult to keep the crossover passive - as intended.
Apart from that you can't make the crossover between woofer and midrange first order (at least not acoustically). The dipole loss of the midrange OB alone will form a 6 dB high pass. You WILL need to have at least an additional 6 dB electrical high pass at 280 Hz.
