A friend of mine brought this amp last night to try it with my loudspeakers. Everytime I shut it off there was a scary whistle to be heard though my speakers... As I asked he said that was normallly what he heard at home when shutting off his system. I have no technical knowledge but felt for the sake of my speakers to stop the audition and investigate.
We connected a meter to the outputs to control DC and everything was ok in both channels + or - 20 or 30 mV... but at shutting power down voltage increased in a few seconds to almost 1 volt... then (very) slowly decreasing to 0, power leds remain lit for quite a long time after cutting power (like 45 secs).
Is this normal for this amplifier (I doubt it) or what would be a cause for this behaviour?. This is a factory assembled unit, not a kit.
Thank you in advance for any suggestion.

nothing to worry about , in fact
except to check for cooked caps in PSU cap bank - pretty possible if amp was in tight space , without proper ventilation
