I have this Philips CD371 with dead laser. Before two or three years I turn the current potentiometer a little and the CD was reading without any problem. But yesterday it totally died... Even no IR emission. I had two another Philips CDC-586 (6-CD changer) with CDM4/20, I want to use their laser unit to bring back to life CD371 🙂 All is already mounted, but I don't now how to adjust laser current, where to measure, how must be the current... I won't kill the "new" CDM4 with wrong settings... Can somebody help me?
The simple answer is .."Don't"!!
The laser current should not need adjusting .. you will shorten the life of the laser.

You should try your CDM in another CD Player, to eliminate some variables.
If it`s dead, buy a new unit.
I have some CDM4 lasers. I will test them.

I know, but it was "adusted"... Now I want to adjust it to normal value, but I don't know how

I already tested it, it's dead - even digital foto can't "see" the IR emission...
