I've been reading this site for ages and am quite amazed by the knowledge of some you guys. Hopefully i'll get there one day. I have a whole heap of questions but really don't know where to put them, i'll have to keep looking around i suppose..
but can someone point me in the direction of a idiots guide to some of the stuff you talk about? I only found out what a resistor was this afternoon LOL and i've got some mods i really want to do to my stuff but don't know where to start.. are there any guides here for the beginner? Cheers

Welcome.
Google might be the best bet for guides. Otherwise i would suggest moding something that you dont care about to get the practice.

thanks for the replys, i've done a few simple things so far like internal damping, changing tweeters, and other mechanical things but nothing very electrical yet... it's so addictive!

Glad that you found it useful! Good luck - and keep up posted on your progress. BTW - Plan on making some mistakes - 'cause we all have.

When those mistakes are made you don't want to be a part of the circuit - this hobby can injure you! Don't be afraid - but do be careful!

Whats your area of interest? Amps, Digital etc.
There are some good sites around to get you started. (not including mine necessarily, its still building content)
I trawl the sites constantly, so perhaps I can point you to some sites.
