Hello from valve fan making a ChipAmp :)

Just joined. I'm a total newbie to DIY hi-fi, having mostly dabbled in valve amps (guitar). Some examples of my... er... handiwork:

So... I'm here to learn about ChipAmps, and Class D looks intersting, too. I've already received a LM3875 kit from Vikash (superb service, BTW). Will do a search on the stuff I need to wise up on - starting with heatsinking.

Anyway, please be gentle with me - I don't yet know my collector from my emitter 🙂

According to the picture of your tube amp I don't think that a chip-amp will cause you any problems.

You know, it's taking a helluva lot of self-control not to put the GainClone and PS on a nice neat turret board. The layout is trivial - except for the peskily tight spacing on that LM3875. Wonder if I can fix it with a hammer...
