Hi everybody, my special interest is class A (my username's a dead giveaway!) and full range horns. I'm rather tied-up with my other hobby (aeromodelling) at the moment - so for now I'm here for the chat.
Greeting from "Down Under". Presumabley you know Geoff Moss's Class A site. The JLH thread in one of the longer ones here but I suspect you are probably aware of that too! We left the UK in '57. During the previous Summer my father built a "Junior Sixty" (5' wingspan) which may ring a bell. Huge pneumatic tyres, 2.5cc Ball bearing ED Racer diesel with a 9" prop, single valve RC with a rubber band escarpment. Definitely vintage now. I've still got the motor.
Where's YATE? We were West Country.
Anyway, welcome aboard, Jonathan Bright

G'day Jonathan
I was in Brisbane myself earlier in the year - I thought it rather too hot for satisfactory Class A operation. Yes I'd found the Geoff Moss's JLH tribute some while ago, I might have built the JLH amp myself but as it was I built a Sudgen 10-12W Class A, this never fulfilled it's promise because I couldn't get the PSU noise down, and it really put me off DIY - Class A in particular. What about yourself - you into Class A at all?
Yate BTW is stuck on the side of Chipping Sodbury in South Glos. And that ED racer of yours is worth a few bob, I recently sold an old Albon Dart for some £40 on eBay - yours must be worth much more than that.

It wouldn't take much - perhaps when the 1st cold snap drives me in from the shed - see, I'm thinking about it already.
