Hello to the DIYA forum boards! I'm here to find out anything I can that will help our precious audio gear last and/or perform as well as possible. 😀
Hi Dave ~
We have spent many years putting together a multichannel (MC) audio playback system that we're perpetually adding to (as finances allow). As the system was initially built for quad audio playback, it consists of a McIntosh MC452 to drive the fronts and a McIntosh MC300 to driver the surrounds. The fronts I mentioned are a pair of B&W N802s and the surrounds are a pair of B&W N805s. Although we employ a McIntosh MX151 as our MC preamp, we presently use an Oppo 105D as our MC audio DAC. We also have a couple of other Oppo players, for backup, so I'm particularly interested in anything relating to either upgrading and/or preserving the operation of any Oppo player models.
Cheers ~
