Hello from Sri Lanka!

Hi I'm a new member hailing from the island nation Sri Lanka. As a poor country with lots of import taxes, it's out of my budget to afford even the basic audiophile gear in my country. So I hope to make a DIY system in my home with advices and guides from this community. Hoping to have a great time here!

Good luck.
How is your AC line there, are there any problems with it?
If you have 50Hz power, you need power transformers designed for that.
Or do you sometimes run on generators?
The mains power supply is good with 50Hz and 220V. But there are frequent power cuts due to lack of sufficient power generation. I use a battery backup with a household inverter during these hours. I'm not sure if its output wave is smooth though. Might have to look into that.

Thanks a lot for your input!

Hello, welcome to the community. If power is so unreliable, you may consider class d tpa3255 amps. They work well with lion batteries (36-48V). Best way to provide clean power.

Some dac can get powerwed via USB. A. 20000 mAh battery is perfect for those ( I have a 5 year old d50s that works well with cell phone battery banks).
