Hi everybody,
I live in Lampang, a small city in northern Thailand (90k south of Chiang Mai). I came to Thailand from Australia 15 months ago; spent a year in the big smoke (Bangkok) - plenty for me - and now I'm teaching English in a local high school up here.
I'm a music lover from way back, mainly classical and blues but with pretty eclectic tastes really. I have only a smattering of knowledge about audio electronics but I'm eager to learn more. I have always been interested in DIY - built some speakers and so on.
I look forward to taking part in the forums;there's a fantastic amount of knowhow here. I'm really stoked to have joined.

Welcome mamboze!
I love your name for Bangkok! (big smoke). Hearing that name
makes me remember 8 days of burning sinuses and eyes a couple
of years ago.
Anyway, enjoy yourself here! And feel free to ask questions. Most
are willing to point you in the right direction or point out a
relevant thread.

Hi mamboze and welcome to the forums.
I have a Canadian cousin who has moved from Chiang Mai to the big smoke a number of years ago. He teached English as well. From his description of the country and it's people, it sounds like a wonderful place.
