Hi everyone. Greetings from Northen Alberta, Canada. I have just signed up as a new member. Actually I have been to the forum quite a bit over the past year but I have never registered. I have a new baby at home and I just didn't feel that I had the time to reciprocate any help that I may have recieved. The little guy is becoming somewhat more independent now so I though I would jump in.
I have always been interested in audio and electronics since I was a teenager. I am on the verge of building a few projects so i thought it only proper to introduce myself in a cordial manner before asking anyone for help.
regards, Doug

That'd be your Southern Alberta (Drumheller, to be exact).pinkmouse said:Hi Doug, and welcome to diyAudio🙂
Alberta- isn't that where they dig up loads of dinosaurs?
Northern Alberta is where X-man Wolverine comes from, am I right?
So where is Grimshaw, more precisely?

I think the guy who plays Wolerine is Canadian but I am not sure where he is from.
Grimshaw is a small town 500 km North of Edmonton. We are situated near the grand Peace River. The bulk of the ecomomy is farming both grain and cattle, oil & gas production and forestry products.
Pretty cold winters but I spend them playing Rec hockey with a great bunch of guys. My wife also plays hockey on a female hockey team. Summers are cool but pleasant and the days are long. I think the sun came up at 5:00am this morning and it will not go down until 10:30pm and there are still not enough hours in the day.
Thanks all for the warm reception.

Manning is only 90km North of Grimshaw. You must elaborate. One week in a night!

We were on a service trip, got the last motel room in town. My co-worker was a snorer and it took me hours to fall asleep. After I finally got to sleep, the town fire alarm went off for about an hour. I think I slept about 10 minutes that night, before a long drive the next day.mercury said:
