Doing some research for a project...putting in ceiling speakers in several rooms in my father's new home, and looking at a possible issue in one room where the volume control for the room is will be next to the room light & fan control, and the speaker wires (14/4 up and down) will be within a few inches of the AC to the fan and light. Any suggestions on forums or threads having to do with running speaker wire close to a noise generating romex line?

Hi Refnoredcard - and Welcome to diyAudio!!!! 😀😀😀

If it is a line from the amp to the speakers - as you say it it running to a volume control - most likely not any problem. If it is a signal line running to an amp then you could have a problem and would want to use shielded wire.
