I was an electronics tech for about ten years long time ago, when CD players first hit the market. I worked on computers for about five years and then I was working on motorbikes until recently, which I really enjoyed. Then life played a cold trick on me, gave me multiple sclerosis. Affected my memory, equilibrium and my speech mainly. Now I’m a 46 year old white guy stuck in a wheel chair. I’m trying to find a hobby which I can do. Amps and speakers looks like it.
In case you’re wondering my name John Doe with a French twist. My real name is Tobey. I been told throughout life I wasn’t right in the head, now I have legitimate excuse. LOL
See you around ………………………………………..

Hi Tobey or John or...? 🙂
There is MS in my family too so I can relate although I am not afflicted myself. It's good to see you looking for a hobby but with speakers I have to caution you. It's addicting. You will be falling asleep at night counting tweeters and thinking of better ways to build a box. I often have to catch a cat nap in the afternoon as I was up too late scheming about my next set.
Cheers and remember to show us pictures when you get underway.

Thanks Cal,
I have a RAID5 I have to restore, all my music, stories I wrote and pictures *poof* gone. You're OK if a drive fails, but lookout if a card fails.
Here's a picture I found of me online,

Hi Tobey (or John)
You said that; "I been told though out life I wasn't right in the head."
I always take comfort from the fact that someone said: "It's the cracked people of the world who let the light in!"
Cheers, Jonathan (Australia)

That's something that has to be remembered.
Cal, I know it can be addicting.
I have a 5 X 100 pushing dual Cerwin Vega's X 3 in front and two singles in the rear. My Sony amp has a low level out, varible from 30Hz to about 120Hz. Running to about 1000 watt amp pushing two 12'' Champion Pioneer's.
To say it rock's is an understatement.

I have a CD called "New Orleans, where Jazz was born" and sums various artists.
Welcome, guy!!!
Thank You. 😛
To be honest, I've heard so much Jazz, I think my head is going to explode if I hear anymore.
Also, I: Count Basie, Benny Goodman, Porteña Jazz Band, Antigua Jazz Band, Ray Charles, Louis Armstrong, etc.. But actually I prefer Spanish singer songwriter Joaquín Sabina and Joan Manuel Serrat, and DJ´s music (Mauro Picotto, Armin van Buuren, etc...).
