Hello from Germany

I'm fairly new to the Hi-fi audio scene but I find it quite interesting. I recently got my hands on a pair of vintage floor speakers and I started to dig around for information to see what kind of parts I could use to fix it since some of the speakers on it are broken. I still don't know much about all of this stuff so now I found myself here looking to learn new things. I don't want to disclose any personal information since I take privacy quite serious so I hope you understand.
Bye 👋

Sure here are some pictures of the speaker and the drivers. It's only the mid range drivers and woofers that are broken. I think the tweeters are still fine

Thanks for the images. If you can measure the impedance of the perished drivers with a DVM that would be useful to know that they match with each other and are not short or open circuit.

If they still intact then maybe new surrounds could be the way forward. You will have to take accurate measurements of dimensions of the the surrounds and use the internet to find matching foams with the right dimensions.

Assuming that the voice coils are serviceable, you should search YouTube and look for speaker re foaming videos to get an understanding of what is needed and the necessary skills. If you are sensible and take your time you should be able to carry out a good re foam and repair.

then you can move onto the crossover components and how the capacitors have aged.
