I am from Brisbane, Australia and am currently undertaking a PhD in Geology at the University of Queensland. My major interests include high voltage electronics (I have built numerous Tesla Coils) and now amplifiers. I am interested in building a Class A amplifier such as the Aleph 5 or maybe even a valve amp such as one of the AtmaSpheres. I would love to hear from like minded people in my area.

All i know about the Atmosphere is that the guy at TubeCad keeps harping on them about misleading claims.
I found the Bruce Rosenblitz OTL to be interesting. He gives full implentation details in his Audio Reality book.
There is a thread here somewhere on the subject of OTL amps.

Welcome to the sandbox. I'm not in Queensland, but about 2 hours south in NSW and am heavily into the holy trilogy of Audio: vinyl, tubes and horns.

Hi Greg, I'm even further South in sunny Canberra and apart from spending my days slaving away on a Lancaster bomber I do the occasional dabble in diy valve, solid state, single driver horns and vinyl.
Presently have an opamp phono stage, a 6BQ5 preamp (yes you read that right!), a pair of Fostex backhorns and a unipivot tonearm under construction. Who said life was boring in Canberra?
