hi guys,
looking forward to talking with some of you regarding building a turntable. I have a CNC router and it has been a project that I have been looking forward to. I can draw in CAD and produce cut files for making the plinth and the main base of the turntable. I am looking for information on what motor to buy etc. I also have a small metal lathe which I can make small parts for this project.
Cheers for now

CNC router
My router is designed to take upto a 2500 x 1300mm sheet of material. I can cut timber, MDF, acrylic, aluminum, brass etc. I can also use it to cut in 3d which can give very interesting results. I plan on using it to make the chasis of the Turntable and some other parts.
Cheers
Welcome benno, sounds like a fun project! Tell us more about that CNC router 🙂

Benno, he's a member on here too - diyAudio - View Profile: waricle - he might be able to give you some tips on sources for the gear you're after. His diy-TT is very nice indeed!
Cheers,
Chris

Thanks for that. I would be happy to get involved in anyone else's projects if my router can be of any assistance. I specialise in audio visual cabinets and home theatres so am used to cutting out some interesting jobs.
