Hello one & all  First up i'd just like to say what a truly magnificent site you have here, just having a look at a few things today took me all over for hours of endless fun & contemplation 😉

I must admit i joined a while ago, however life kind of gets in the way of jumping in on things at times but i'm ready to take the plunge now.

I guess i have been messing about designing & building speakers & amplifiers for quite a while, with some sucsess i might add. It wasn't until i actually got a PC & online a few years back that i found out what i was missing though 😱 What took me days working out with a calculator can be done in minutes as i'm sure you are aware :headbash: Live & learn eh

Here are my present front speakers of my 5.1 system (still under development), these will become the rear speakers of the new setup when i eventually get round to it 🙄 They are heavily modified Yamaha NS1000Ms, the 12" bass unit is inside as they are a 4th order bandpass.. These were developed before i was online...& yes i do need to tidy up...

I just thought i'd add them as i'm not exactly new to this game, i might as well be though with all the information on here!

Bests to all on the site 🙂 I hope to be about a little more often...

Hello Mark - and Welcome to diyAudio!! I miss having a good plate of bangers and mash now and again. Where I live in the States we would be very likely to find a way to batter them up and deep fry 'em.
Heh heh heh, perhaps things might be better stateside seeing as there has been battered deep fried Mars bars available in some chip shops for a number of years S2.gif Nothing wrong with bangers & mash as long as they are Lincolnshire sausages 😉

Cheers for the welcome Thomas, i honestly don't think i have ever been so amazed at any forum before - i'm sure people must get lost in this place jawdrop.gif

I have a feeling it's going to take months just to look at every area, let alone get round to projects 😀

Have a mug of stout and pale and give yourself plenty of time for a look round. No hurries and no worries here. The Pass threads are outstanding for amplifier design and can serve to warm the house on cold winter nights - if you can afford the electricity! There are a great many other outstanding threads and projects about and lots of help at hand.
