I found this site a while ago whilst looking for modding ideas for a Philips CD650 I've owned for 26 years... I finally joined because I always had a soft spot for the Philips 16x4 sound, and wanted to see what folk are doing with the the old player. I also have an internally almost identical CD473 to tinker with, as well as another poorly CD650 and a considerable pile of other vintage hifi, some interesting, and some not so interesting. Too much, really. 😉
